Hideki Tojo
-Hideki Tojo was responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor, which led to the United States entering World War II. After the end of the war, Tōjō was sentenced to death for war crimes by the International Military Tribunal for the Far East and hanged on 23 December 1948.

-Tōjō was appointed Army Minister in the second Fumimaro Konoe Cabinet, and remained in that post in the third Konoe Cabinet. He supported the Tripartite Pact between Japan, Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. As Army Minister, he continued to expand the war with China
