China was falling apart and the idea of communism was slowly spreading. As the civil war was raging, it broke out to be between the communists and the nationalists. Mao Zedong led the communists and the nationalists finally fled to Taiwan. Communism prevailed under the rule of Mao Zedong. Mao took hold of China by the majority; the farmers.
