Charles DeGaulle in World War II

Charles de Gaulle became leader of the GRPF (temporary government of the French Republic) in 1944 ; he resigned in january 1946.
In may 1958, he was called to find a way to end the war in Algeria. In fact, he first ended the french constitution of the 4th Republic, and created a 5th Republic in october 1958. He was elected President of the Republic, for seven years, and reelected for seven other years in 1965.
