  • Adolf Hitler was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party.
  • He was the Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945.
  • Hitler is most remembered for his rise of fascism in Europe, World War II and the Holocaust.

  • He fought in the war for 4 years and got 2 Iron Crosses for bravery.
  • He was wounded by a grenade splinter and was gassed which made him go temporarily blind.
  • Once he was appointed Chancellor, he used his power to gain absolute control over Germany.

  • In July of 1944 Hitler survived an assasination attempt. One of his best military officers put a suitcase bomb under a table at one of Hitlers meetings. The table leg blocked most of the explosion, so Hitler survived with injuries to his arm and some hearing loss.
  • On April 29th, 1945 he married Eva Braun. The next day, April 30th, Hitler and Eva both committed suicide.
